Friends and Family,

We hope this letter finds you doing well! As usual, the Bishops have had an extremely busy year and we thank God for His provisions and blessings. Kishon is finishing up his 5th year as the Health/Physical Education teacher at Walkertown Middle School, as well as the Head Coach of their Boys Basketball team. Between school and running Blue Chip Basketball Academy, he doesn’t have much down-time. We celebrated Eva’s graduation from Liberty University with her Masters of Education in School Counseling last May and she has enjoyed her first year as School Counselor at Jefferson Elementary School here in Winston-Salem. We all enjoyed watching Colton complete his collegiate basketball career at Piedmont International University this season; December 2019 he will finish up and is doing exceptionally well in his studies. Campden is a “tween” now, turning 11 just a few weeks ago; he’ll be in middle school this coming Fall and continues to show interest in Technology, Math and Science.

Last summer’s mission trips were a HUGE success, thanks be to GOD!! I partnered with “Counting the Cost Ministries” to minister in Vieux Fort, St. Lucia. While ministering via sport camps, we were able to help lead 17 teens/youth to the saving knowledge of Christ. One week later, Eva and I led a twelve-member team down to St. Vincent & the Grenadines on our annual Hope & Hope Sports Mission Trip. Our focus of ministry was with the members of Blue Chip Basketball Academy, which was established the previous summer. Partnering with Campden Park Community Baptist Church, we conducted “Camp Introspect.” This was a basketball day camp where we teach the sport of basketball and share the Gospel message. God blessed mightily and five campers accepted Christ as their savior, including my own son, Campden!!

From July 19 – 26, I will again be partnering with “Counting the Cost Ministries” through ministry in St. Lucia. We will be conducting sports camps (soccer and basketball) and Vacation Bible School. Then, from July 26 – August 9, I will travel to St. Vincent to work with the members and staff of BlueChip Basketball Academy and conduct administrative work for our 2020 Hope & Hope mission trip.

As you know, none of the ministry that we seek to do can happen with the support of all of you. Would you pray for me as I make plans for these trips this summer? Specifically, that God will go before us and prepare hearts and minds for what our team members have come to share about the “hope” found through participation in athletics, and ultimately, the biggest “hope” we all have in a relationship with Jesus Christ. Also, would you pray about giving toward my trip costs this summer? For both trips, I would need to raise $1,800. Should you be able to give, checks can be made payable to “Hope & Hope, Inc.” and mailed to “3848 Forest Valley Drive, Winston-Salem, NC 27105.” You can also donate online by clicking HERE and you will receive a tax receipt for your donation!

Thank you for your continued love and support of our family and our vision to see souls saved and new believers mentored in St. Lucia and St. Vincent. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have!
